Fringe of Breaking Up

i FINALLY cut my hair everyone and i'm happy to say that i did not go to Jon at a certain well known chelsea salon. i've been a dedicated client of his for the past few years and though he's fun to gossip with and is an extremely talented stylist, i hear "cha-ching, cha-ching" at every snip. i have short hair folks, and a trim should not cost that much even with the amazing head massage. so, i've been wanting to leave Jon to try someone new, but was very much afraid of experimenting and potentially ruining my hair. After a chat with my friend at Brooklyn Social, she recommended her salon called Fringe. i decided to take the chance and go. Fringe is a quaint little space on Orchard with a friendly and relaxed staff. it's like a good friend cutting your hair in the living room of her lower east side apartment. needless to say, i'm very pleased with my haircut and look forward to being a regular there. if anyone is looking for a new stylist (especially ladies with a short mop), try Fringe out...they also do free touch-ups. on that note...goodbye Jon, hello Katie! thanks for the recommendation Natalie!

(Standing) Ovation

so i've been a little addicted to this new channel on directv (channel 275) called Ovation. it's a bit nerdy.....sort of a cross between IFC, Bravo & PBS, except it's focused on the arts. they cover everything from the famous to the obscure with specialty. it's not just a documentary about Richard Serra.....it's a documentary about how he got his damn sculptures in the MOMA for his retrospective. other times, it's like watching a Christopher Guest movie or an educational Project Runway. i mean really, i watched an entire episode on ventriloquism. how creepy is that? yet i could not pull myself away. anyhow, i highly recommend it. take a peek at their website below:

blogging

hello, welcome.....the time has come. i admit. i am far from being a blogger, but i figure "why not?". i was recently inspired by a friend's site and decided that it was time to dive into the world of technology. instead of chatting and emailing about the same thing to a bunch of different people (no offense, it's all genuine), i thought it best to start a blog with postings and visuals that can keep friends and family in the loop, as well as, hopefully inspire. with that said, forward this to anyone that might be interested, put me in your favorites, and check out my blog once in awhile for a little something new...
